Modem / Router Setup Guide
At AUS Internet, we make modem and router configurations simple!
If you are bringing your own modem/router or need to reset the router supplied to you. Below are the settings you’ll need to get up and running fast! Simply log into your modem or router’s web based management interface as per the manufacturer’s setup guide and follow the Quick Setup Wizard.
nbn™ Fixed Line Services (FTTN,FTTB)
These services utilise VDSL Technology and to connect to your service, you will need a VDSL compatible modem.
Your modem will connect directly to your existing telephone outlet. No addition nbn hardware is required.
Interface Type : VDSL
VLAN ID : 0 (or disabled)
Connection Type : Dynamic IP or sometimes referred to as IPoE/DHCP
nbn™ Fibre, Fixed Wireless & Satellite (FTTP, FTTC, HFC, FW, SkyMuster)
These services utilise Ethernet WAN connection interfaces between an NBN Connection Box (NTD) and your equipment. To connect to your
service, you will need a Router with a WAN Port, ideally one supporting Gigabit Ethernet.
Interface Type : Ethernet WAN
VLAN ID : 0 (or disabled)
Connection Type : Dynamic IP or sometimes referred to as IPoE/DHCP
VoIP Services Residential and Business Trunks
Residential services require a VoIP compatible modem or Voice ATA.
Business services can be registered into a VoIP compatible PBX or cloud based / self hosted PBX such as 3CX
